Appointment of new member firm in Greece for BDO

BDO, the world’s fifth largest accountancy network, has today announced the appointment of a new BDO Member Firm in Greece, effective 9 June 2011. Previously known as Delta Certified Public Accountants SA, the new BDO firm was established in 2007 and has grown rapidly since then: it is expected to achieve a turnover of approximately €6 million in the coming year.

The firm’s audit services are provided primarily to quality Greek businesses, many of which are listed on the Athens stock exchange. The new BDO Member firm in Greece has 9 partners, 73 professional staff and 11 business support staff.

The new firm’s ILP and senior partner, Vrasidas Damalikos, is optimistic about BDO Greece’s future, despite the challenging economic environment. “We already have a firm footing in the local market, serving a well diversified portfolio of clients who remain loyal to our partners,” he says, adding that “Our mission is to provide the highest level of technical services while maintaining exceptional relationships with our clients, and we seek ultimately to deliver a globally integrated approach to client service. Our deep understanding of our clients’ local business needs, combined with BDO’s global expertise, will help make that vision a reality.”

Martin van Roekel, CEO of BDO, said that “BDO firms across the world are committed to long-term relationships with their clients, and the new BDO firm in Greece firmly upholds this principle. I am very pleased to welcome this firm to our network, and am confident that their association with BDO will further their growth, as well as bring additional benefits to both this firm and the network as a whole.”
